"The Iber Cup was an excellent tournament that gave me the opportunity to referee international matches and get to know referee friends from across the world ... I am sure that I will return next year - how could I not?!¨ (George Laflin - England)
Such a great week! Couldnt of asked for any more.. oh wait, another week would of been nice!!! (Michael Ryan - England)

Donnie and Safija (pictured left) represented Scotland and Sweden during the Iber Cup 2012 but, more importantly, were Iber Cup's first ever assessors. The introduction of an assessment scheme for all referees proved a great success. In 2013 more than 25 assessors from 12 countries took part into the tournament, we hope to repear this success in 2014 ! ARE YOU AN ASSESSOR? DO YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED? SPECIAL REFEREE GUESTS OF 2013 |
Not all referees get the honor of getting involved in one of the big finals, just the ones who give their best and get the best assessments get to walk on the field at the Antonio Coimbra de Mota Stadium in Estoril, where games of the Portuguese Premier League are usually played. Referees are also awarded prizes according to their performance on the fields throughout the week.
